Sydney Sweeney said she was bitten by a Huntsman spider while filming her rom-com in Australia and only co-star Glen Powell realized she wasn't acting.
The 26-year-old actress, while looking stunning in a busty red dress, recalled being bitten on Tuesday while promoting Everyone But You on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.
“They told me it was trained,” Sydney told 49-year-old Jimmy. 'I don't know how you train that spider. That is impossible.'
“So we're filming and the thing starts biting me, but we're in the middle of the scene and I'm supposed to be screaming, but then my screaming got a little serious,” Sydney said.
Jimmy showed the blooper clip from the movie where Sydney screamed while actually being bitten by the Huntsman spider. After throwing the spider out of her wrist, Glen, 35, checked on her to make sure she was okay.

“Did it really get you?” Glen said after Sydney stopped yelling.
“They thought you were acting,” Jimmy said.
“They thought I was making very serious dramatic choices in a rom-com,” Sydney said. “Nobody was cutting, so I'm just sitting there with a spider on my arm biting me. And I scream and everyone watches. Glen was the only one who said, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa, I think this is kind of real.'
“I thought I was going to die,” Sydney said.
“Who else bleeds for their romantic comedy,” Jimmy joked.
Sydney gave Jimmy a Christmas present, a basketball signed by all the players from Gonzaga University.
“You're so cool, how did you do this?” Jimmy said.
“I had a few guys slide into my DMs,” Sydney said. 'Sometimes it's useful.'

Jimmy pointed out that the last time they saw each other, they were both helping The Rolling Stones launch their new album in London. Sydney was in the video. Jimmy then said hello to Jimmy's mother who was in the audience. He asked Sydney how it felt to get the call to work with The Rolling Stones.
“I panicked, but not as much as my mother did,” Sydney said. 'My mother went completely crazy. I think in my family's eyes this is the coolest thing I could ever do.”
Jimmy asked her to tell the audience about her new romantic comedy “Anyone But You.” Sydney said it was set in Sydney, Australia, which she said is such a beautiful city.
“It's amazing,” Sydney said. “It's a lovers' rom-com where you just cry and laugh and want these two beautiful people to get together. '
“Glen Powell from Top Gun?” Jimmy asked.
“Yes,” replied Sydney, who has been the subject of romance rumors about Glen.
Jimmy said Australia seemed very dangerous to him.
“You know, that's the first thing every Australian says when they see you, they say, 'You know anything can kill you,'” Sydney said.

“The sharks,” Jimmy said.

“There are spiders hiding in your slippers,” Jimmy said.
“No, the spiders hide everywhere,” Sydney said. “I had a spider in my vent. The leg stuck out. Oh my God. I could not do it. You need to check your shoes. You shake your shoe before you put your shoe on.”
Jimmy asked her if she had learned slang in Australia.
“Actually,” Sydney said. “I'm currently in Australia filming another movie. And while I was there they had this thing called 'The Schoolies'. I think this is the time when all high school students graduate and have their big spring break and summer holiday party. And they closed all the streets and they call it 'The Schoolies are out'. And then 'The Toolies' also goes out and that's anyone over 21 and they put wristbands on them to know that there are Tools trying to pick up younger kids.”
“So the Toolies and the Schoolies,” Jimmy said, laughing.
“Anyone still in high school who goes out also gets a wristband in a different color called 'The Foolies,'” Sydney said.
Sydney shared another funny story from the movie Everyone But You. She told how they were filming at the Sydney Opera House and she saw extra security and helicopters and thought they had gone 'big and serious'.
“And then we find out that Barack Obama is there and they're actually there for him and not for us,” Sydney said.
Jimmy asked if she would have a chance to meet President Obama.
“He stood there, he watched and I think we got the seal of approval,” Sydney said.
Sydney also played a weird game with Jimmy by trying to pick up most of the elf toys with a candy cane in their mouth and then dropping them into a bucket. They also competed to see who could scoop the most bows into a bucket while blindfolded.
Sydney also played silly games with Jimmy on the NBC talk show
“I don't know if I'll get anything,” Sydney said, laughing.
For their final challenge, they hit cotton balls off the tops of cups using only a noise maker. Sydney won.
“Sydney Sweeney the champion,” said gaming enthusiast Jimmy.
Jimmy, who was accused of creating a “toxic work environment” in a Rolling Stone article in September, has hosted the NBC talk show since 2014.
