Everyone But You star Sydney Sweeney feels like she has no control over the public’s view of her body when it comes to her films.
The 26-year-old actress has had quite a bit of success this year, but said in an interview on Monday that some are focusing on her body and not her acting.
She said Variety that she is aware of what people say about her: ‘I see it and I can’t allow myself a reaction, I don’t know how to explain it – I’m still trying to figure it out for myself.
‘People feel connected and free to talk about me in any way they want, because they believe that I have signed my life away. That I am no longer on a human level, because I am an actor.’

After the release of Everyone But You, Sweeney cleverly played with one rumor that she and co-star Glen Powell were romantically linked. At one point during the episode, she made an attempt to refute the idea.
When Powell asked for the camera to go to her fiancé, who worked with her on the film, he found himself in the frame and awkwardly robbed the audience.
The actress also addressed the daily direct messages she receives on social media, claiming that they are “not a safe space.”
Ultimately, she has kept her feelings separate from her work, because she realizes that it works for herself, and not for the audience.
