Sydney Sweeney reveals an ‘entire team’ of AFL stars ‘slid into her DMS’ and wanted to welcome her in a ‘very big way’
It looks like Sydney Sweeney left a lasting impression on locals while filming her latest romcom Everyone But You in Australia earlier this year.
The Euphoria star, 26, appeared on The Project with co-star Glen Powell on Thursday night and revealed that several famous sports stars had slid into her DMs.
She said Sydney Swans players laughed at her after she hit a ball while watching them play an AFL match in their home city.
'I had a fantastic time. I have to meet everyone. I want to go back,” she told the host happily Georgie Tuna.
At the time, 35-year-old Glen hinted that Sydney would be more than welcome at a future match as the 'whole team' seemed surprised by her presence.

“Well, they enjoyed meeting Sydney too,” he laughed.
He continued, “The whole team slid into her DMs…Australia wanted to welcome her to town…quickly.”
“In a really big way,” an embarrassed Sydney agreed.
It comes after Sydney revealed she is so in love with Australia she is considering moving here.
She made the stunning revelation during an appearance on the Smallzy operation podcast on Thursday, when she was once again joined by Nobody But You co-star Glen.
“I love it (Australia), I have downloaded several property apps to consider moving to Australia,” she said.
Meanwhile, Glen, who is romantically linked to the blonde beauty, told listeners the White Lotus star was 'obsessed' with Australia and said he 'bet' she would have a house Down Under by the end of 2024.
“I wouldn't be surprised myself,” a laughing Sydney replied.
She later teased her handsome co-star during the interview by telling listeners, “I'm going to rent it (the house) to him.”
Sydney recently announced that she plans to build a house in Australia
Sydney also appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, where the US-born star taught him the lingo she learned Down Under.
She then tried to explain 'Schoolies Week', where Australian school leavers go to holiday destinations to celebrate the end of high school.
“I'm currently in Australia filming another movie. And while I was there they had this thing called 'The Schoolies,'” she said.
The blonde beauty, who spent most of 2023 in Sydney filming her latest romcom Everyone But You, told podcast Smallzy Surgery that she was looking for property Down Under
She continued, “I think this is when all the high school students graduate and have their big spring break and summer holiday party.
'And they've closed off all the streets and they're calling it 'The Schoolies are out'.
“And then “The Toolies” goes out too and that's anyone over 21 and they put wristbands on them to know that Tools are trying to pick up younger kids.”
Glen, who is in a romantic relationship with Sydney, told listeners on the podcast that the White Lotus star was 'obsessed' with Australia
“So the Toolies and the Schoolies,” Jimmy said, laughing.
“Anyone still in high school who goes out also gets a wristband in a different color called 'The Foolies,'” Sydney said.
Meanwhile, rumors about Glen and Sydney have dogged the pair since filming of Everyone But You began at the beginning of this year.
The conversation quickly gained traction after Glen quietly split from his model girlfriend Gigi Paris in April.
Sydney, who is engaged to Jonathan Davino, 38, has shot down rumors she is romantically linked to her Nobody But You co-star Glen
Sydney, who is on a break from filming Eden in Queensland, finally shot down the speculation during a tell-all interview with Variety, saying: 'It's a rom-com. That's what people want!'
Although the 6ft heartthrob broke up with his girlfriend while filming Everyone But You, with Gigi even unfollowing the White Lotus star, Sydney is still very much together with fiancée Jonathan Davino, 38.
The couple was first linked in 2018 and reportedly got engaged in 2022.
Everyone But You will hit theaters on December 26
