Sydney Sweeney has answered a few questions about the upcoming third season of HBO Max’s Euphoria.
During the Sydney Sweeney in conversation with Josh Horowitz At an event at The 92nd Street Y in New York City earlier this week, the Everyone But You actress 26 discussed the hit show.
They talked about Immaculate, which she stars in and produces — and they also briefly touched on the upcoming third season of Euphoria — though she couldn’t say much about it.
“Honestly, it’s as scary as talking about Marvel,” Sweeney joked. “I said one thing, and it went everywhere.”
Horowitz told her that fans are very excited about the new season, prompting Sydney to joke, “I’m excited too.”

Sweeney plays Cassie Howard in the hit series that also stars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi and Maude Apatow.
“I love Cassie. Cassie is truly a dream to play and as an actor I feel lucky to have had a character like her at such a young age,” she continued. ‘And of course I want to continue living her crazy life. I love it.’
Euphoria was renewed for a third season in February 2022, but is not expected to air on Max until 2025.
Meanwhile, Sydney’s horror film Immaculate finished fourth at the weekend box office with $5.3 million from 2,354 theatres.
Although her career has been white hot, the horror genre is less reliant on big names than other genres.
“They are driven by the hook: the evil doll, the evil smile, the invisible or silent presence, the found footage, the possessed child,” says David A. Gross of the film consultancy Franchise Entertainment Research, per Variety.
He continued, “That’s what scares the horror crowd. The hook isn’t entirely clear here.’
The Euphoria star plays an American nun who joins a remote convent in the Italian countryside and soon discovers that her new home holds some dark secrets.

Sydney got both of her grandmothers’ roles as extras in her new film and took them to the Los Angeles premiere.
‘I flew them to Italy and they were allowed to visit me on set. As nuns, I made extras for them,” she said. “And then I took them to the premiere in LA. They were so excited.”
After her romcom Everyone But You became a breakout hit, her role as a nun named Cecilia in the horror film is a big change.
‘It’s a challenging character; it’s an interesting story. I loved the horror genre. It’s exciting,” she explained.
