Sydney Sweeney has dismissed claims she was objectified in The Rolling Stones' music video for Angry, which was released earlier this year in September.
The Euphoria actress, 26 – who is promoting her new romantic comedy Everyone But You – responded to critics during a recent interview with Glamor Britain earlier this month.
“I was hot,” Sweeney revealed. 'I picked out my own outfit from racks and racks of clothes. I felt so good in it.'
'One of the questions I get is, “Are you a feminist?” Sydney continued, adding, “I find empowerment in embracing the body I have.”
“That's sexy and strong, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I'm in a Rolling Stones video. How cool and iconic is that? I felt so good.'

The White Lotus star stated: “All the moves, everything I did was all freestyle. I mean, who else gets to roll around on the roof of a convertible while driving down Sunset Boulevard with a police escort?”
“It's the cool things in this career that I had no idea I was going to do,” the actress concluded as she recalled the unique experience.
Throughout the nearly four-minute clip, the beauty was seen belting out the song's lyrics while sitting in the back of a sleek red convertible driving down Sunset Boulevard.
She wore a black leather crop top and shorts with rhinestones. As a finishing touch, the star also wore chaps with star-shaped cutouts.
Blur frontman Damon Albarn was a critic of the music video and narrated it French mediaper Variety, “I was listening to their new song and saw this horrible music video that showed them on billboards at different stages of their lives.”
“And this young woman objectified. What the hell is this? There is something completely disconnected.”
The music video for Angry – the first single found on their recently released album Hackney Diamonds – was directed by Francois Rousslet.
Not long after the video was released, fans applauded Sydney's performance, saying her performance was “perfect.”

The band currently consists of Sir Mick Jagger, 80, Keith Richards, 80, and Ronnie Wood, 76. Drummer Charlie Watts passed away in August 2021 at the age of 80.
The actress has also been busy promoting her latest romantic comedy titled Everyone But You, which officially premiered in theaters on Friday, December 2022.
