Sydney Sweeney has admitted her signature blonde locks are now ‘fried’.

The 26-year-old Anyone But You star, who recently showed off her toned legs in a skimpy wetsuit, told The Strategist She has banned herself from using hair dye, as her hair became damaged from constant use for various film roles.

And now she is giving her tendrils some rest, so that they have the chance to regain their natural brown hue.

“I’m trying to grow my hair out. I’m on a hair health journey,” she told the outlet.

“My hair was very damaged and fried from constantly coloring it for different characters and on the red carpet, so I decided to cut off all the dead hair, stop coloring it, and let it grow,” the actress said.

The Immaculate star revealed that she no longer secures her locks with hair elastics, opting instead for claw clips.

She added: ‘My hairdresser also told me to stop using hair ties when I’m not working, so now I wear bobby pins.

‘I love Emi Jay’s because they have so many fun designs, colors, and sizes. I probably have almost all of them. I have one in right now.

“It’s just a fun accessory to add to your outfit,” she said.

Sydney opted for light blonde hair for summer and her hairdresser told her she wanted a ‘big change’ and to move away from her dark roots.
