Sydney singer, 16, to become the second Australian in two years to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest

Australian singer Silia Kapsis will represent Cyprus at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.

In an unprecedented back-to-back event, an Australian talent will once again perform as Cyprus’ performer at the Eurovision Song Contest, following in the footsteps of last year’s Sydney’s Andrew Lambrou.

The 16-year-old’s Eurovision song was written by acclaimed Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos.

In a twist, Kapsis had originally hoped to represent another country.

In July, the pop star took to her Facebook asking for their support in her bid to represent Greece.
