Sydney Roosters star James Tedesco and his wife Maria head out for a morning walk with their 6-week-old daughter Rosie

Sydney Roosters NRL star James Tedesco and his wife Maria have been spotted for the first time since the arrival of their first child.

The couple, who welcomed daughter Rosie on September 21, stepped out with their bundle of joy for a casual stroll through a leafy Sydney suburb on Sunday.

Looking relaxed, the pair were seen chatting and cooing over Rosie as Maria pushed her stroller along the sidewalk.

Catering entrepreneur Maria showed off her trim pins in black cycling shorts and a matching singlet top.

She completed her look with gray sneakers and a delicate gold chain.

Her star athlete husband was also dressed all in black, with a T-shirt and loose gym shorts.

His look was completed with a black baseball cap, white socks and sneakers, and a large silver wristwatch.

Off the field it has been a big year for Tedesco after he married Maria in the NSW Hunter Valley on January 7 before announcing they were expecting in April.

Announcing the happy arrival via Instagram at the time, James wrote: “Our beautiful little Rosie Mae Tedesco. Born on 21/9/23. Mom and son both happy and healthy.’

The post attracted hundreds of comments, with Roosters Sam Walker and Joey Manu joining a host of NRL stars including Clint Gutherson, Nathan Cleary, Josh Addo-Carr, Brian To’o, Ryan Papenhuyzen and Braith Anasta to congratulate the couple.

At one point, Maria was seen rearranging the blankets in Rosie’s stroller
