Sydney real estate agent Augusto Gerocarni charged after allegedly assaulting model girlfriend

A real estate agent who spends his time selling multimillion-dollar mansions in Sydney’s affluent east has been charged with seven offenses after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend over several months.

Augusto Gerocarni, 29, who is listed as an agent for Ray White in Woollahra, was arrested at his home in Bondi Junction last Friday morning.

Gerocarni was taken to Waverley Police Station where he was charged with common assault, destroying or damaging property, attempting to stalk/intimidate with intent through fear of harm and four counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The high-flying businessman is alleged to have attacked his former partner Lindsey Bennett, 32, between November 2021 and July 2022.

An application was also made for an apprehended violence order on behalf of Ms Bennett.

Gerocarni appeared at Waverley Local Court last Friday where he was granted conditional bail.

While on bail, Gerocarni must be of good behavior and must not contact Ms Bennett or any witnesses.

Ms Bennett, who works as a model and nurse, was in a relationship with Gerocarni for three-and-a-half years before it ended in June this year.

She lived with him in his unit in Bondi Junction and in another apartment in the same suburb.

At some point in their relationship, Ms. Bennett moved in with a friend, but later returned to Gerocarni’s home.

Gerocarni has worked for Ray White as an independent contractor since 2016, after graduating from Sydney’s prestigious private boys’ school Cranbrook.

He has received a host of accolades during his time at the agency, including being named an Elite Performer four times and being crowned Chairman’s Elite three times.

His Instagram account is full of photos of homes for sale and beautiful properties he has sold.

Last week he sold a four-bed apartment worth $4.9 million in Queens Park, along with a $2 million property in Darlinghurst.

In 2017, Gerocarni sold a $2 million Paddington terrace owned by James Packer’s ex-wife and Australian businesswoman Jodhi Meares.

He also has a string of rave reviews online from clients recommending his services.

Gerocarni will appear in court again on October 26.

His lawyer Daniel Hakim told Daily Mail Australia his client denies the charge and plans to plead not guilty.
