Horror as five-year-old girl is attacked by a dog while in her mum’s arms at Sydney Park, Alexandria
A mother has issued an urgent warning after a stray dog terrorized and bit her two young children at a popular park.
The shocked mother claimed the medium-sized brown dog was apparently being walked in the swamp area of Sydney Park in downtown Alexandria on Monday when it broke away from a group of dogs being supervised by a dog walker.
“Initially my 10-year-old son was lifted against a tree, scratched and then chased after my daughter,” the woman wrote on the community’s Facebook page.
‘The dog then knocked my daughter to the ground and bit and scratched her, chasing us and jumping up to bite her legs even when she was in my arms and I was trying to get away.’
The little girl’s injuries are unknown.
The woman described the female dog walker, wearing a yellow shirt and dark hair, who was supervising eight dogs at the time.

‘Please be very careful in Sydney Park with children. Watch out for the dog,” the mother concluded the message.
Commenters urged the woman to contact police and the city.
NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia they had not yet received any reports of the incident.
Sydney City Council was also contacted for comment.
