Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane weather: Weekend of rain about to strike
Rainy weekend ahead with winter just around the corner: this is what the weather looks like in your city
- Showers are falling on the east coast
- There will be a total solar eclipse in WA
Major cities along the east coast will face a drizzly weekend, while Western Australia will enjoy sunny weather.
Sydney is set to see another seven days of showers, with minimum temperatures hovering around 15C as the cold weather sets in for winter.
The weather will be even colder in Canberra, with minimums consistently below 10C next week, but coupled with mostly sunny conditions.
Showers are forecast in Brisbane from Friday and the wet weather is expected to continue until the end of next week.

There are slightly better conditions to get into Melbourne where the weekend will be cloudy, but the only rain forecast is for Friday and less than 1mm is expected.
Perth will remain sunny until next week.
Hobart is expected to see overcast skies over the weekend following a burst of wintry weather on Wednesday that saw about 900 meters of snow fall around Tasmania.
“A mid-autumn cold front swept across Tasmania on Wednesday morning, bringing showers and a wave of cold air from the Southern Ocean,” a Weatherzone spokesperson explained.
Overcast conditions are predicted over Adelaide on Friday before the skies clear for a sunny weekend with maximum temperatures in the mid-20s range.
Darwin will see showers and a possible storm on Friday, before sunny weather takes over on Saturday and Sunday.
