Manhunt underway after man is stabbed to death during an altercation at a suburban home

A man remains at large after an incident at a suburban home left one dead.

Sydney police are asking the public to look out for a man who fatally stabbed another just before 4:30pm Friday during an altercation in St Clair, in the west of the city.

The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, of African appearance, stocky build, and black hair in short dreadlocks.

Witnesses say he may be traveling on a dirt bike and may still be armed.

The police are urging anyone who sees the suspect not to approach him and to call Triple Zero (000) instead.

Police and emergency services were called to a home on Parroo Close after reports that a man had been stabbed.

Officers from the Nepean Police Area Command arrived and found an unconscious man with serious injuries on whom they performed CPR.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after NSW paramedics arrived.

Two female residents of the home were checked by paramedics but were not physically injured in the incident.

It is believed the victim was stabbed after the knife man came to the property and started an altercation.

A neighbor whose sister was home at the time said the dispute that led to the stabbing may have involved a love triangle, 9news reported.

The street remains closed.

As the manhunt began, five police cars were seen speeding away from Parroo Close and through the suburb.
