Tragedy as man dies in house fire in Sydney’s west
A man has tragically died in a house fire, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to Grant Street in Blacktown, Sydney, at 4.05pm on Saturday after receiving reports of a fire.
The unidentified man, whose age remains unknown, was removed from the property by the NSW Fire Service.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to resuscitate the man but he died at the scene.
Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended and the fire has now been extinguished.
A crime scene has been cordoned off and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The police will prepare a report for the coroner.
