An eyewitness has relived the gruesome moment two tradies were killed in a fireball when the Audi they were driving burst into flames after it skidded off the road. during a high speed police chase.
Jeibril Dandan and Seifeddine Malas burned to death trapped inside the burning wreckage on Sydney’s M4 motorway after the car flipped on its roof and was engulfed in a raging inferno.
An off-duty police officer and two trainee policemen desperately tried in vain to reach them, but the intense fire and heat repeatedly held off their valiant attempts.
The two men killed in a horrifying fireball on Sydney’s M4 motorway have been identified as Jeibril Dandan (left) and Seifeddine Malas, both known to police.
Malas ran a construction company Sydney City Tuckpointing in South Wentworthville in western Sydney.
Both men, believed to be in their 20s, had previously appeared in court several times on various charges at Parramatta and Burwood in Sydney.
A grieving member of Malas’s family confirmed the deaths. “We’re all trying to collect our thoughts right now,” the relative said.
Jeibril’s relative, Isaac Dandan, said the family did not want to comment at this time.
The chase had started at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday when highway patrol officers spotted the silver Audi speeding on Centenary Drive, Strathfield, in Sydney’s inner-west.
But it ended in tragedy moments later when the car skidded off the road. on the entrance ramp to the southbound M4 at Homebush and was engulfed in a ball of fire.

“This happened in front of me,” revealed witness Leon Justin, who was driving nearby. They were going pretty fast, they almost took my trailer off.
“The Audi tried to shake off the cops with a sudden left turn on the ramp, still at high speed, but the Audi simply went over the guardrail.
“Audi driver must have watched too many movies,” he posted on Facebook.
The car drove through the barrier into an embankment of thick brush, causing it to lose control before crashing roof-first onto the motorway 20m below.
The dramatic vision shows the overturned vehicle engulfed in a raging inferno.

A passing car with an off-duty police officer and two trainees stopped and the three repeatedly attempted to rescue the two men trapped inside, but were held at bay by flames.
“Her efforts were courageous and admirable,” Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Adam Whyte said Tuesday.
“They came back several times despite the heat and the fire in an attempt to get these people out of the vehicle.”
Police officers and passing motorists tried to extricate the trapped occupants from the burning wreckage, but were unable to reach them because of the flames and heat.
The officers were treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.
The bodies of two men were found in the Audi after firefighters extinguished the fire. They have not yet been formally identified.
A critical incident team will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation will be subject to independent review.
Mr Justin added: ‘The Chrysler 300c highway patrolman stopped at the spot where the Audi went through the guardrail.
“I had a trailer and I couldn’t stop in time so I kept going, the car must have gone up in flames after that.” There wasn’t much traffic on the M4…’
One westbound lane on the M4 remains closed on Tuesday morning, causing traffic chaos.
Police said they were investigating the exact speed the Audi was traveling at during the incident, but said it had been traveling at “excessive” speed.
They are investigating reports of a second car involved in the crash with a Toyota sedan also said to have been seen in the area at the time.
‘The speed did not change. He continued to be excessive. The speed itself will be part of the investigation,” Deputy Commissioner Whyte said.
“If you are speeding and are spotted by the police, it is much easier to stop and accept the consequences of your actions.
“It is surprising that no other vehicles have been hit.”
The accident caused traffic chaos for morning commuters on the M4.
One of the three westbound lanes remained closed on Homebush Bay Drive six hours after the accident, along with the northbound and southbound onramps.
