Neighbors in an expensive Sydney suburb are left stunned after discovering an “unhinged” note on the windscreen of a car.
The cruel note was printed in capital letters on white paper and read: ‘Thank you for letting me know what kind of person you would have been during Nazi Germany or the USSR.
‘It’s always good to know your neighbors. I hope you have a nice day.’
Some believe the note was in response to being asked to move their car.
‘We sympathize [the street] and had a note placed on a parked car by someone threatening to report it to the police because it is not used to moving much. I guess this is their response.”
Many were shocked by the brutal tone and unnecessary comparison.
“That’s the world we live in… as soon as you do something unpleasant in someone’s eyes you are automatically labeled as something sinister and horrible,” one woman wrote.
“This is really out of control,” said another.

A third added: ‘That’s awful. It says more about the person who wrote the note than it does about the owner of the car.”
‘I hope whoever wrote this is ashamed. No words, what a fool,” one man wrote.
One man encouraged the community to think on the bright side.
“Maybe the subject of this note is the opposite of what everyone thinks?” he asked. “Don’t always think of the worst because that’s not what the note says.”
A few others asked people to be more compassionate.
“I feel like the person who wrote it needs a hug – he or she is going to have a hard time,” one person said.
“Sounds like someone with serious issues,” wrote another.
