Sydney foodies say Misc. Parramatta gives famed Merivale institution Totti’s a run for it’s money with a decadent menu of burrata, pastas and seafood

Foodies are flocking to Sydney’s west to check out a little-known restaurant that many say is a rip-off of one of the city’s most popular restaurants, Totti’s.

In fact, some foodies claim the food is even better.

Different. is in the Great Western Sydney suburb of Parramatta and treats diners to a gourmet menu of Italian delicacies to rival the famous Merivale establishment.

Totti’s three locations in Bondi, Rozelle and George Street are the hippest casual spots for Sydneysiders – and now those in the western suburbs can get a taste of the action.

Different. has its own burrata, wood-fired bread, pasta and pizza offerings many say rival the cult favorite.

The upscale restaurant has been one of Paramatta’s most popular lunch spots but is now open for dinner too with a brand new modern Mediterranean style menu.

Food bloggers Kate and Alex, aka Food inbox, paid Misc. a visit and indulged in the $90 set menu of dishes including dips, olives, lamb shoulder, broccolini, roast beef and chips.

“Set in the beautiful surroundings of Parramatta Park, this is definitely a place in the west for a cool dinner or our night out with the girls,” they wrote in an Instagram post.

‘This set menu is VALUE guys! We were absolutely stuffed afterwards, you all know we have empty stomach pits.’

Another guest named Misc. a ‘Totti’s dupe’ and said they serve the best burrata she’s ever had.

“It was uniquely infused with lime leaf oil and was perfect with the soft wood-fired bread and salty bacon,” she said.

Other menu highlights include split Sydney oysters, baked prawns, country tomatoes and fried courgette flowers.

Dozens online have shared their excitement about the new Western Sydney dining spot with some saying it’s ‘better than Totti’s’.

“This is very high on my list to visit!” one woman said and another wrote: ‘This place is next level.’

“Omg they’re actually like Totti,” wrote one user while someone replied: “Huh?! Except no credit card on the booking.”

“What a great restaurant, possibly the best restaurant in Parramatta,” one user added.
