Fire in Sydney: A massive fire breaks out near Central, Redfern stations in Darlington

A fire has broken out in Sydney, near the central station.

As many as 40 firefighters were called to a multi-story building on Abercrombie Street, in Darlington, after it burned down shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A dozen fire and rescue teams are working to get the fire under control.

As many as 40 firefighters were called to a multi-storey building on Abercrombie Street, in Darlington, in Sydney’s CBD after it caught fire shortly after 8am on Wednesday.

Photos taken by Sydneysiders show huge plumes of smoke above the building.
