An electric vehicle claims he suffered a foul-mouthed tirade of abuse from a motorist who blocked a charging station.

To make matters worse, the ute driver allegedly even stayed put to deny Sydney man S. the opportunityalim Tootooni.

In a Facebook post, Mr Tootooni said he wanted to use the charger in the EV room at Stanhope Village shopping center Sydneynorthwest, which he does regularly, but a ute was parked there.

An EV driver said he was met with foul-mouthed insults for asking someone to leave a designated charging point in a Sydney shopping centre.

The sole occupant of the vehicle in question was a woman sitting in the passenger seat.

When Mr Tootooni asked if the car could be parked in one of the other available spaces, the woman said the male driver was at the shopping center buying medicine she needed to recover from surgery.

However, she expected him to return soon and clear the space, so Mr. Tootooni went back to his car and waited ten minutes for the man to appear.

Mr Tootooni said he politely asked the man to move his voice, but was met with an outright refusal and an aggressive statement of ‘no, I’m not going to do that’.

Even offering Mr Tootooni’s spot to the ute driver was to no avail.

So Mr Tootooni had to wait another 20 minutes when the man returned to the pharmacy, but he said the ute driver became much more threatening when he returned and even challenged the EV owner to a fight.

“I didn’t want a fight or anything,” Mr Tootooni said Yahoo News .

“So I just went back to my car and he said a lot of things like ‘you fucking asshole’ and ‘you’re fucking inconsiderate’, just words like that, but I didn’t respond.

‘Then he deliberately stayed in the car.’

Finally, after 40 minutes, Mr Tootooni said the ute took off, but not without the driver hurling more abuse at him from the moving vehicle.

Mount Tootooni said he had previously asked other motorists to clear the EV bay without incident, but this time he was met with aggression and refusal.
