Sydney-born and raised pop singer Firerose has stolen the heart of American country star Billy Ray Cyrus, with the couple recently announcing their engagement.
Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rosie Hodges, reportedly bonded with Cyrus, 61, because of their mutual love of music and Billy featured on her 2021 single New Day.
The blond songbird developed her passion for music while studying at the Newtown School for the Performing Arts in Sydney.

Known for her songs All Figured Out and No Holding Fire, the artist has previously said her “goal on earth” was to touch people through music.
“I’ve always believed that my purpose on Earth was fulfilled through music,” she said on her website.

But a resurfaced interview from 2021 proves that they’ve known each other as friends for over a decade.
During the talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan last August, Cyrus and his sweetheart – who appears to be in their twenties – revealed that they met as friends on the set of Cyrus’ television show Hannah Montana.
