Switch 2 Nintendo Direct coming in April

Nintendo officially unveiled its next-gen console, Nintendo Switch 2, on Thursday – although the company didn’t say much other than confirming the Switch 2’s existence, its surprisingly simple name, and a 2025 release date in a short teaser video.

Fortunately, Nintendo has promised to share more details about Switch 2 in a special Nintendo Direct presentation scheduled for Wednesday, April 2. Details about the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct are forthcoming, but this post will be updated with the official start time, duration, and what to expect from the April showcase.

Switch 2 is scheduled for release sometime in 2025, possibly as soon as June, based on the timing for Nintendo’s hands-on events for its successor to the Switch.
