Aussie Arctic Queen Libby Trickett has posted an emotional tribute to her husband Luke and revealed the very humble way they celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary.

The beloved Olympic gold medalist, who is currently expecting a fourth child, took to social media this weekend to announce her anniversary with photos and a heartfelt message.

“Anniversaries look a little different these days,” she wrote.

‘We had been flirting on MSN Messenger for 6 months and I finally stopped waiting for him to ask me out!

It’s been a wild journey with highs and lows.

“Hard parts and wonderful parts.”

“It’s consistent and repetitive hard work and choosing each other every single day, even if we both really annoy each other,” she wrote.

“But I consider myself lucky to have found someone so willing to grow and evolve with me, even when it’s hard, because I know that’s rare.

Trickett went on to explain how sober they went about their day.

“Today we celebrated by clearing out our trash cans, doing nit treatments for all the girls (including me!) and working (or getting attracted!).

“Celebrating my teammate and what we’re building.”

The 38-year-old said she was “done having kids” two years ago, but announced in December that another was on the way.

She also said she wants to keep the unborn baby’s sex a secret until she goes into labour.

“It’ll be a surprise,” she said during an appearance on The Morning Show.

“We have been privileged to have three surprises so far. I actually thought they were all going to be boys, so I’m now at zero out of three for predicting the sex of my baby.’

“It’s one of the few surprises I think we have in this world and I can’t wait to find out in May,” she said.

Trickett also admitted that this pregnancy was her most “challenging” yet.

‘I’m not going to lie. I’ve probably come to recognize that this is perhaps the most difficult pregnancy,” she said.

“Not necessarily because of all the nausea – although I’ve had that most days in this pregnancy – I’m elderly in this pregnancy, which is a fancy term.”

Luke and Libby already have three children – daughters Bronte, Poppy and Edwina.
