An influencer has revealed the foods she eats to stay fit – and that includes consuming half a watermelon for breakfast.

Paige Shay, who bills herself as a fitness and beauty influencer, shared what she ate in a day to maintain her toned abs.

In the YouTube clip titled: What I eat in a day for a flat stomachwhich has now been viewed more than 7.2 million times, Paige starts the day with half a watermelon, which she takes from her ‘stash’.

“I always like to start the day with fruit that has a high water content, which is so refreshing and hydrating,” explains the 27-year-old.

“I’ll take about four pounds of watermelon. For lunch I eat (apples),” the raw vegan added, showing off the latter chopped and piled high in a bowl.

‘They are so crunchy and sweet, so tasty and I didn’t eat all the apples; I still had a few slices left.”

Paige then ate a bowl of green grapes as a snack and ate the leftovers from the five apples she cut up for lunch in the morning.

“For dinner I had brown rice ramen noodles with a Thai peanut sauce,” she explained.

“Along with some broccoli and mushrooms, some red peppers and some green onion salad.”

“I usually eat a big bowl of potatoes for dinner,” she said.

‘I normally eat whole grains about once or twice a week and when I do eat whole grains I like to eat a lot of vegetables with them just to help with satiety and fullness.’

Paige, who doesn’t eat meat, gluten, dairy or eggs, insists she gets enough nutrients from her plant- and fruit-based diet.

In a viral video she posted to TikTok in April, the vlogger detailed what she ate in a day, stunning viewers with her extreme fruit intake.

“I eat papaya for a snack and nine mangoes for lunch,” she continues.
