Suzy Eddie Izzard steps out in a white crochet skirt and denim jacket as she goes shopping in London
Suzy Eddie Izzard made a summer figure when she went shopping in Soho, London, on Wednesday morning.
The comedian, 61, stepped out in a white crochet skater skirt, paired with a navy blue fitted top and denim jacket.
She felt comfortable in a pair of white trainers and stylish sunglasses after making a purchase from Italian swimwear and hosiery brand Calzedonia.
The activist carried her belongings in a black crossbody bag while listening to music through a pair of AirPods.
She recently revealed her plans to prefix her birth name with “Suzy,” while expressing a desire to keep “Eddie” for public appearances.

Izzard took to Instagram earlier this month to confirm the change, but admitted she was happy people continued to use her birth name and masculine pronouns despite expressing a preference for she/her.
In a short post, she wrote, “As people may know by now, I have added the name ‘Suzy’ to my name.
So going forward I prefer Suzy, but I don’t mind Eddie. And I prefer she/her, but he/him I don’t mind.
“So no one can really get it wrong unless they call me Kenneth or Sabrina. I remain Eddie Izzard in public. Thank you. Suzy/Eddy.”
Days earlier, Izzard revealed the abuse she faced after coming out as transgender in the less acceptable 1980s.
The popular comedian, who is gender fluid, first came out as transgender in 1985, when she was 23.
She told Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd about how she was ostracized by society and “fighted in the streets” after being abused.
“If you were trans, you were considered toxic and not part of society. There were no conversations when I came out in ’85, so it was so hard to do mentally because I actually had to go do it.”

She continued, “You kind of had to go out and if people were yelling at you in the street, if they were fighting you in the street, you had to fight back and stand your ground.”
In disbelief, Shepherd asked if she was ever actually involved in a physical fight.
Izzard continued, “Yes. Not a huge number of times.
“I had a big fight that I talked about. There have been a few fights and a lot more people shouting insults.
“That has lessened over the years, but if I go to other places, I can get it. I’m just sticking to my position.
Everything after that isn’t that hard! Doing stand-up in French and German.’
