Suspicious powder mailed to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg amid Trump probe
Manhattan prosecutor receives envelope with suspicious powder and taunting threat: “Alvin, I’m going to kill you” ahead of possible indictment after Trump warned of “death and destruction”
Emergency crews are responding to reports of a package containing a suspicious powder being mailed to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.
The New York Police Department said the USPS delivered an envelope addressed to “Alvin” on Friday. The powder was found in the envelope and the note: ‘Alvin, I’m going to kill you.’
The suspicious email comes as Bragg is building a case to potentially impeach former President Trump over hush money payments to Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The powder was discovered around noon in the basement mail room of the 80 Center Street office and determined to be non-hazardous.
A pair of bomb threats reached the courthouse earlier this week, delaying proceedings at least once.

On Truth Social Thursday, Trump shared an article about Bragg Illustrated with a photo of the former president holding a baseball bat, positioned next to one of the district’s district Democrats looking scared and raising his hand in a defensive position.
And then, overnight, Trump called Bragg a “psycho degenerate” as he uttered the chilling threat that there would be “death and destruction” if he was charged with a crime.
While Trump initially said he would be arrested on Tuesday, and encouraged his supporters to ‘protest’! – Grand jury proceedings have wrapped up for the week, so a potential indictment won’t arrive until Monday at the earliest.
A source told DailyMail.com on Wednesday that Bragg is “having trouble convincing the jury to buy the case.” It’s a weak case and has caused divisions in the prosecutor’s office.

On Thursday, he rejected calls for his supporters to be “peaceful” if he is impeached, which would be historic as no other former president has been charged in a criminal investigation after leaving office.
