Susanna Reid is forced to pull out of GMB presenting duties AGAIN after losing her voice at the NTAs as she gives an update on her diagnosis
Susanna Reid has announced she will not present Monday’s Good Morning Britain as she continues to recover from a throat infection.
The ITV star pulled out of her GMB presenting duties at the last minute on Wednesday morning after losing her voice at the previous night’s National Television Awards.
The presenter shared an update on her Instagram page on Sunday evening and revealed that she would not appear on screens on Monday because she was following advice from a specialist.
‘Sorry I won’t see you tomorrow. Hopefully we will be back in full voice soon, thanks to the specialist treatment and your brilliant tips,” Susanna wrote.
She later shared a video to her Stories, showing her voice clearly affected by the “mild infection.”

‘Quick update on my voice, which as you can hear is not one hundred percent. I feel absolutely fine,” she told her followers.
‘But the specialist I saw on Friday said we shouldn’t take the risk until it gets better. Thank you to everyone at GMB for their efforts and to all of you for all your brilliant tips.’
“I’ve been steaming and also doing honey and lemon and turmeric and ginger tea and drinking tons and tons of water, I’ll see you soon.”
Susanna was replaced on Good Morning Britain at the last minute for Wednesday’s show – after losing her voice at the NTAs.
Charlotte Hawkins stepped in at the last second for the presenter, 52, as she took over with co-presenter Ed Balls.
The change was announced at the start of the show when Charlotte said: ‘Good morning, this is a bit of an unplanned performance for me this morning!’
Ed explained that he had even seen Susanna that morning as she was getting ready in her dressing room and so was momentarily shocked by the change.
He said, “I was about to say, you know, I came into the studio about 4:30 like usual. Walked past Susanna Reid’s dressing room.

‘There was Susanna, as always, in her white dressing gown, getting ready for the upcoming show. This feels like a small change!’
Charlotte – who was also with the NTAs – continued: ‘The reason is that you saw Susanna there, but we couldn’t hear her because unfortunately she has lost her voice.
“She’s here with us in the building. Here she is, Susanna, how are you?’
An evil-sounding Susanna explained, “I’m fine, I just can’t talk!” I don’t know if it was the heat that inflamed my vocal cords.
Gorgeous: The brunette beauty looked stunning in a figure-hugging red sequin dress with an asymmetrical neckline and flowing cape detailing at the NTAs
“It’s funny because of course it was the NTAs last night and when I got my taxi to leave the driver said, ‘You’re the very first person to leave the NTAs, you’re clearly not partying.’
‘Of course I don’t drink and I don’t smoke, so there’s no reason why I can understand why I’ve completely lost my voice.’
Charlotte replied, “The irony of it was that we were all together last night. You left first, you hadn’t had anything to drink, I didn’t leave as early as I should have.’
Susanna continued: ‘I’m really sorry, I can only apologize, but thank you Charlotte for stepping in! I didn’t want to put our wonderful viewers through this for three hours.”
