Susanna Reid cheekily posed with two croissants when she appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday.
The presenter, 52, mocked Miriam Margolyes’ decision to pose nude for British Vogue in a racy photo released on Tuesday.
In the iconic image, the actress, 82, left little to the imagination with only ice cream sandwiches saving her modesty for the July issue.
While discussing the shoot on GMB, Susanna held the two croissants to her chest and said, “I got a new top this morning…”
Her co-host Richard Madeley started laughing as she joked, “I’m not sure I can strategically place this one the same way [as Miriam]. Miriam did something similar, didn’t she?’

Their co-host Richard Arnold then quipped, “It’s very Calendar Girls, isn’t it!? You can do it!’
Susanna then joked, “I can pull it off!” Who would have thought that!’
Susanna later described the look as her “croissant bikini” as they continued to talk about Miriam’s cover shoot.
Richard and Susanna praised Miriam for always being herself as they streamed over the star.
Miriam stunned as one of British Vogue‘s most unlikely cover stars, posing for the dazzling nude shoot for the magazine’s annual Pride issue.
The star posed in the breathtaking photo, sporting only a selection of iced sandwiches to maintain her modesty.
And despite the self-confident imagery, Miriam admitted in the accompanying interview that she struggled to accept her form, saying, “I love my face.” I think my face is kind and warm and open and smiley.
But I hate my body. I hate big t*ts [and I have] a hanging belly, small twisted legs. I’m not thrilled about that. But you just make the best of it. You should. You are doing your best.’

She also revealed that she will have heart surgery to have a stent placed during her other work commitments.
Despite the surgery, she insisted she was “not terrified,” adding, “When you’re young, you never think about death. You’re basically just thinking about your next f**k. I think about death a lot.’
‘Oh, every day for sure. Every morning when I get up I think, ‘Hmmm, another day’, which maybe I didn’t expect.’
Miriam also reflected on the moment she came out as gay to her parents, admitting it “hurt them,” and her mother made her swear on the Torah never to have sex with another woman again.
The July issue of British Vogue will be available as a digital download and on newsstands from Tuesday, June 20
The outspoken actress came out in 1966, when homosexuality was still illegal, but despite this, the star was never ashamed of women.
She said, “I’ve never been ashamed of being gay or anything like that. I knew it wasn’t criminal because it was me. I couldn’t be a criminal.’
In addition to interviews for the publication, Miriam joined a slew of LGBTQ+ stars including Ncuti Gatwa, Janelle Monae and Bella Ramsey who posed for Vogue’s July issue, which focuses on Pride And Joy.
In addition to her fun cake-themed photo, Miriam also wore a striking blue wrap over a black dress, a pearl necklace, and a black sheer headpiece for her cover photo.
It came after Miriam revealed last month that she was rushed to the emergency room following a health scare over the weekend.
The comedian, who played Professor Sprout in the fantasy franchise, shared a Facebook photo of herself taken in her hospital bed while updating fans on her condition.
She wrote: ‘Thanks to my dear friends who thought of me on Tavi Day. I survived and will be at Royal Brompton Hospital until at least Sunday.
“I’m growing energy, but it’s still not quite me. I’m posting this so you know how grateful I am for sweet messages.
‘Slowly I’m going back to The Chase and then Italy, Oz filming in WA and returning for the 22 citybooks tour on September 7. Loving hugs. MM’.
Miriam had hoped to be sent home on Sunday, but unfortunately took to Facebook again with another health update.
