Susan Sarandon stands out in vibrant red and white outfit in New York City…after suing a construction company for shoddy work on her Vermont home

Susan Sarandon was spotted walking through New York City’s East Village on Sunday morning.

The 76-year-old performer appeared to be having a pleasant day as she flashed a smile as she made her way through the bustling city streets.

Her sighting comes after it was reported this week that she is suing a construction company for allegedly substandard work on her Vermont home, according to Reuters.

The Academy Award-winning actress, who recently attended a film festival in Italy, wore an almost all-red and white outfit with a flowing, long-sleeved, patterned blouse.

Sarandon tucked her top into a pair of bright red pants as she stepped outside.

The cast member of The Rocky Horror Picture Show also wore a pair of striped shoes and bright white socks.

The artist wore a multi-colored bag and fashionable sunglasses.

Her beautiful red hair was cut short and matched the shades of her clothes.

Although she seemed to be making the most of her morning, Sarandon recently filed a lawsuit against the construction company that built her home in Stamford, Vermont.

According to Reutersthe artist filed a lawsuit against DeGrenier Contracting and Property Management in a federal court in Springfield, Massachusetts, last Thursday.

According to the filing, Sarandon’s representatives found numerous problems with her home, including problems with mold, insulation and an unfinished ceiling in her master bedroom.

The actress filed her lawsuit through her limited liability company, The Right to Bear Farms, which she also used to purchase her 45-acre estate in 2018.

The artist, who is also known for her long history of environmental advocacy, planned to live in a “completely off-the-grid” home that would run on solar and geothermal energy.

Sarandon is said to have submitted her requests about the specifications of the planned house “in light of increasing global environmental instability.”

To keep things consistent, the Academy Award-winning actress wore an almost all-red and white outfit with a flowing, long-sleeved, patterned blouse.

In her filing, the actress alleged that DeGrenier’s owner made false statements about his qualifications and charged him for non-existent services.

She also claimed that the owner was paid $140,000 to serve as a caretaker for the property after the house was built, though she said the person did nothing to earn the amount.

The artist has since filed claims of unjust enrichment, fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract, and is seeking unspecified damages.

The owner of DeGrenier Contracting and Property Management declined to comment publicly on the lawsuit.
