Survivors of the MSU campus shooting include teenagers who fled the Oxford High School massacre just 15 months ago and Sandy Hook ten years ago.

Last night’s gunman is Anthony McRae, a 43-year-old religious fanatic who posted online about schizophrenia and Satan.

He committed suicide before police could arrest him for shooting three students to death and wounding five others in a wanton attack on the school.

Among those who managed to escape him were children who are still traumatized by having to flee from Ethan Crumbley, the Oxford high school gunman who killed four of their classmates in November 2021.

Jackie Matthews, 21, took to TikTok to describe how she survived Sandy Hook when she was 11 years old.

“I am 21 years old and this is the second mass shooting I have experienced in 10 years and two months ago I survived the Sandy Hook shooting.

“I was huddled in a corner with my classmates for so long that I broke my PTSD back,” said the student, who goes by Jmattttt on TikTok.

“The fact that this is now the second shooting I have experienced is incomprehensible.

‘We can no longer simply provide love and prayers.

‘It has to be legislation, it has to be action. It’s not right,’ she said.

Emma Riddle was a student at Oxford High School when Crumbley opened fire, killing four classmates.

She tweeted last night: ’14 months ago I had to evacuate Oxford High School when a fifteen year old opened fire killing four of my classmates and wounding seven more.

“Tonight, I’m sitting under my desk at Michigan State University, once again texting everyone ‘I love you.

‘When will this end?’

Her father, Matt, shared her words, writing: ‘This is my daughter Emma.

“Their security and sense of peace have been taken away twice in 14 months because America continues to choose guns over children. Last year at #Oxford and today at #MSU.’

She later told DailyMail.com that she felt “anger and frustration” at having to watch her daughter go through the trauma “not once but twice”.

Other children were seen wearing Oxford Strong sweatshirts. This student did not attend Oxford High School, but said he bought the shirt to support children who did and lived nearby.

Two of the mothers of those children also spoke last night to recount their sustained trauma.

‘She said she had PTSD. She said that she can’t believe this is happening again.

It’s in the center of everything and you can’t get out.

Anthony McRae, 43, had a note in his pocket that threatened schools in Ewing, New Jersey, where he previously lived.

“She said, ‘Mom, I just want to come home, I want to hold you,'” said Jennifer Mancini, whose daughter did not want to be named. The Detroit Free Press.

Andrea Ferguson’s daughter was also on campus when McRae opened fire.

“I never expected in my life to have to experience two school shootings.

“There are several children there with our daughter’s friends who are going through the same thing,” she said. Click2Detroit.

A student was seen standing on the street last night wearing an Oxford Strong sweatshirt.

He did not attend Oxford, but said he bought it to help the children, who were from the same area.

At a news conference this morning, Michigan officials raged over the fact that they were giving an update on the second campus mass shooting in less than two years.

Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin was furious at having to take the podium again so soon after the Oxford tragedy, which killed four students.

‘I can’t believe I’m here again doing this 15 months later. It fills me with rage that we have to have another press conference about the murders of our children in schools,” she said furiously.

Previously, Governor Gretchen Whitmer said: ‘We cannot continue to live like this.’

It’s unclear how McRae, who was arrested in 2019 for having a loaded gun in a car, obtained the gun he used in last night’s attack, or even what type of gun it was.

Crumbley, who is facing life in prison, got his fun through his father.
