Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia says the new season will be ‘epic’ as the Heroes V Villains series will take a compelling twist.
Jonathan LaPaglia has shared important details about what Australian Survivor fans can expect for the upcoming season.
Filmed in Samoa, the 2023 season of Heroes vs. Villains promises to give fans a lot of excitement when it returns to the small screen on January 30.
The longtime host of the reality series, 53, revealed that the season will be “epic” and “a season you don’t want to miss.”
Jonathan LaPaglia (pictured) has shared important details about what Survivor’s Australian fans can expect for the upcoming season.
‘This season is great!’ he said television week.
‘Every year the marketing department yells “THIS IS THE BEST SEASON EVER!” But I don’t think it’s hyperbole this time. He certainly felt that way during filming.’
He added: “The challenges are a bit more balanced this time around with less emphasis on sheer strength and more opportunities for player skills to shine.”
The actor also said that the mix of veteran castaways with new contestants is what makes Heroes vs. Villains more interesting, with challenges often getting “very close”.

“The stage was set for a great, fast-paced game that doesn’t disappoint,” he continued.
“I think the public is going to love this season,” he added.
It comes after LaPaglia revealed that filming Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains turned out to be an exhausting experience.
He said the daily telegraph production was affected by food poisoning and Covid-19.

Changing the filming location from the Australian outback to Samoa also brought challenges caused by the elements.

LaPaglia believes that all of the returning contestants took a great risk given the fast-paced nature of the competition.
The cast includes an Olympian, a beauty queen, a TV star, all ready to outsmart and outsmart each other.

Some of the big names include actress Sharni Vinson, former Miss World Australia Sarah Marschke, author Benjamin Law and Real Housewives of Melbourne star Anjali Rao.
It comes after Channel 10 announced that former contestants Shonee Bowtell, George Mladenov, Nina Twine, Hayley Leake, Shaun Hampson and Jordie Hansen would be returning to the series.
Fans of the series can expect some format changes from the US version of the show.
