The number of second-hand ‘supercars’ for sale rises by 42%, showing that even the wealthy are under pressure
The number of pre-owned “supercars” for sale is up 42 percent in the past 12 months, showing that even the wealthy are feeling the pressure.
Last month there were 3,194 vehicles listed on Auto Trader with asking prices in excess of £150,000. That compared to just 2,252 in April last year.
Owners of luxury cars – including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys and Rolls-Royces – are struggling to find buyers as searches for such vehicles have fallen by 4 percent in 12 months.

Auto Trader said these types of cars now take an average of more than two and a half months to sell — more than three weeks longer than a year ago.
Richard Walker, Auto Trader’s director of data and insights, said: “Some wealthier drivers are feeling the pinch and are now more willing to part with their supercars.”
