The stage is almost set for Allegiant Stadium as the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers prepare for this year’s Super Bowl.

On Sunday night, the NFL showpiece will take place at the 65,000-capacity home of the Las Vegas Raiders, where both teams will look to write their names in the history books.

For the Chiefs, there is a chance to become the first team since the 2005 New England Patriots to retain the Vince Lombardi Trophy after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in last season’s finals.

The Niners, meanwhile, are looking for their first Super Bowl victory in exactly 30 years, with quarterback sensation Brock Purdy desperate to revive San Francisco’s glory days.

There isn’t much time left until the moment of truth, and six days after the Super Bowl, LVIII Allegiant Stadium appears to be almost ready to go.

The NFL invited players, coaches, fans and the media to the venue Monday night for this year’s opening night, which will feature interviews with both teams and live entertainment.

Both teams already have their logos and team names decorated in each end zone, while posters of Patrick Mahomes and Purdy, among others, have already been put up.

The Chiefs landed first in Vegas on Sunday night, as Travis Kelce stepped off their team flight as girlfriend Taylor Swift won two awards at the Grammys in LA.

Kelce is expected to be cheered on at Allegiant Stadium by Swift, who appears ready to wrap up the final leg of her Eras Tour in Tokyo and make the nearly 9,000-mile journey to Sin City.

Swift has attended a number of her boyfriend’s Chiefs games since their romance began last summer, with the pop star even taking the field after last weekend’s Conference Championship win over the Ravens in Baltimore.

The 49ers will once again play the NFL championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs after losing 31-20 to Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Co. in February 2020.

Some of San Francisco’s integral players were part of that loss, including Deebo Samuel, George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk.

The team drafted Purdy and has since also traded for Christian McCaffrey and Chase Young.

Back in San Francisco, hundreds of fans showed up in the pouring rain to watch the team bus leave for the airport.

Purdy was one of the first 49ers representatives to step off the team plane on the other side and did not recognize any of the cameras present during his walk to one of the team buses.

Kittle was the second member of the 49ers to get off the team plane and did stop to talk to the team’s camera crew before boarding the bus.
