Fans were shocked when a ’90s comedian was spotted unrecognizable at the Super Bowl.

The comic attended the big game in late host Jimmy Kimmel’s VIP box, along with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

He shared several photos and videos from Allegiant Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in dramatic overtime.

But fans were stunned by his appearance, with his wild pink mop of curls that were very different from his usual look.

Scott Thompson, also known as comedian Carrot Top, 58, had swapped his infamously unruly red hair for dyed pink locks with dark streaks poking through.

He also had heavily applied dark, black eyeliner and donned a brown headband and loose pink t-shirt for the occasion.

Thompson, who is known for his gag comedy, also sported a thin mustache and goatee.

It was a stark contrast to his signature look from the ’90s, when his bright red curls inspired his stage name Carrot Top.

Social media users were baffled by the unrecognizable comedian, with many comparing him to other celebrities.

One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted: ‘OMG WHAT HAPPENED TO CARROT TOP?!?’

“What series of events led to Johnny Depp and Carrot Top becoming indistinguishable,” another joked.

“Carrot Top looks like the genie that would be released if you rubbed a lava lamp,” one user joked, while another added: “Carrot Top looks like Steven Tyler if he became a magician.”

In a video shared to his Instagram, Carrot Top revealed that this was the first Super Bowl he had attended.

“Thanks Molly for getting me a card,” he shared.

“I went from not having a ticket to sitting in a suite and watching the game. I could see Taylor Swift, but I wasn’t in her box.”

Carrot Top is based in Las Vegas, but in an interview with the New York Times he revealed he had trouble getting tickets to the big game.

For the article, he wore a baseball cap with a sticker reading “Need Tickets” on the front.

“I think this is the biggest event we’ve ever had,” he said.

‘That’s what everyone says: ‘You’re Carrot Top! You own this town!’ But I really can’t get one.’
