According to a report, the fire alarm at the San Francisco 49ers hotel went off in the early morning hours.
According to 49ers long snapper Taybor Pepper, the alarm went off at 6 a.m. Thursday morning and lasted 18 minutes before it was finally turned off.
Pepper responded on social media to a story about the early morning unrest, writing, “18 minutes but who’s counting lmao.”
A hotel official revealed that guests were instructed not to leave their rooms during the incident after engineers quickly believed it was a false alarm.
“We shouldn’t have a problem going forward,” said Hilton security manager Brian Roshon.

Earlier this week, San Francisco complained that their practice field was too soft
The fire alarm problem isn’t the first inconvenience the 49ers have faced during Super Bowl week, after staff members already complained about the practice field at UNLV.
The NFL installed a natural grass field on top of UNLV’s already installed artificial turf, which a 49ers progressive group believes is too soft for the team to practice on.
With San Francisco serving as the away team, they don’t get the benefit of playing in the local NFL team’s facilities like the Kansas City Chiefs.
Instead, they get to play at the best college facilities in the area, per typical NFL guidelines.
Despite the 49ers’ complaints, the turf was considered fine from a health and safety perspective.
