Mark Beretta and his wife Rachel have split after 22 years of marriage, sources have told Daily Mail Australia.

The Sunrise star and his ex-partner, who married in 2001, are said to have quietly split in recent months.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom haven struggled to attract potential buyers.

The Berettas later decided to drop an additional $750,000 before finally signing the deal in May.

The couple had spent the past few years renovating the Mandolong Road home, which they bought in 2016 for more than $6 million.

They are thought to have spent more than $900,000 renovating it, according to council records.

In September, Mark was spotted in a $275,000 high-performance black Maserati.

He was pictured leaving the Channel Seven studios in Eveleigh, Sydney, in his luxury vehicle.

Looking back, he said he wished he had spent more quality time at home with his children when they were younger.

“When the kids were little, they went to bed early and all the lights were off in our house at 7 p.m.

“But now they stay up later and sleep in, and you’re losing family time in the morning,” he said.

“Looking back, you think I would have liked to spend more time at home, but life is what it is and you make the most of it.”
