A Sunrise reporter was left red-faced when an excited Panthers fan dropped the F-bomb during a live television broadcast on Monday morning following Penrith’s third consecutive NRL premiership.

Channel Seven TV reporter Liam Tapper was in Penrith to soak up the atmosphere after one of the greatest grand finals of all time.

Tapper was asking fans about the game when one excited supporter got caught up in the emotion of it all.

“Talk to us about last night,” Tapper said. “How good was that win?”

“Oh, it was bloody amazing,” replied a woman in a Panthers Premiership T-shirt.

The shocked reporter quickly stepped away from the woman.

“Okay – thanks, guys. We’ll make that squeak,” he said.

Morning Show host Larry Emdur also apologized for the incident when the broadcast returned to the studio.

“We certainly apologize for that to anyone watching,” Emdur said.

‘Live TV can be dangerous. And yet you feel that the emotion is very raw.’

The awkward incident comes after Penrith star Izack Tago dropped an accidental F-bomb during a post-match chat on Sunday night.

Tago was being interviewed by Channel 9’s Allana Ferguson along with teammate Spencer Leniu when the incident occurred.

‘You’ve just done it, you’ve just won the grand final. How are you feeling right now?’ Kennedy asked.

Tago replied: ‘Oh f***, I don’t know. Still soaking, hey, let’s go… three-peat, that’s all.’

Surfing legend Mick Fanning certainly enjoyed Penrith’s dramatic NRL grand final victory, with fans claiming the Australian hero had had a few too many beers in Sydney.

The 42-year-old celebrated on the pitch with the players after the final whistle and appeared slightly worse for wear as he spoke to Channel 9’s Alanna Ferguson.

“This is the best thing that ever happened,” he said. “Oh my god, it’s so amazing, look at it.”

When asked about his thoughts on Cleary, Fanning said, “Are you kidding me? He is the greatest athlete on earth. Serious. Swear to God. Greatest athlete on earth. He went completely crazy for the last ten minutes.

‘Awesome. It’s going to be a black scene and we’re going to have so much fun!’

Footy fans were highly amused by Fanning’s lively performance on air and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.

“Mick Fanning is not driving the Panthers team bus tonight,” one fan wrote.

Another said: ‘The interview with Mick Fanning after I assumed he had drunk 40 beers was the icing on the cake.’
