Sunrise: Matt Shirvington sizzles in topless photoshoot
Matt Shirvington like you’ve never seen him before! New Sunrise host sizzles in topless photo shoot that was nearly wiped off the internet
He is the new face of Channel Nine’s family-friendly breakfast show Sunrise.
But squeaky clean Matt Shirvington has a rather spicy past as a topless model.
A rare photo has surfaced of the former Olympic sprinter’s long-forgotten Jockey underwear modeling campaign.
Released in the early 2000s, the black-and-white image shows the handsome athlete wearing nothing but black underpants as he straddles a horse.
His ripped physique and famous bulge were featured in the racy image, which has been nearly wiped off the internet in recent years.

Shirvington was also starring in an equally racy television commercial for Jockey at the time the photo was released.
The commercial shows Shirvington training at Melbourne’s Olympic Park in nothing but tight Jockey underpants.
The camera cuts to different angles of the shirtless hunk’s groin as he runs down the track at top speed, demonstrating the craftsmanship of Jockey underwear.

The ad was clearly an homage to the viral photos of Shirvington revealing his burly manhood in a skintight bodysuit in 1998 when he competed in the Commonwealth Games.

By following a rigorous exercise and diet plan, the then 35-year-old managed to reduce his body weight from 86.9 kg to 77.7 kg, while his body fat percentage dropped dramatically from 14.3% to 9%.

‘This was not easy. I had to be very self-centered during the six weeks and it brought out a side of me – the introverted, competitive, determined side – that my wife Jess thought I had left behind for good when I retired from athletics.” he told Yahoo! Lifestyle at the time.
On Monday it was confirmed that Shirvington would replace David ‘Kochie’ Koch at Sunrise following a three-year plan to prepare him for the top job.
Shirvington said he had “mixed feelings” about the new gig as he sat on the couch with his new co-host Natalie Barr and predecessor Kochie for the announcement.
‘Just fantastic. Discouraged. So excited. Cheerful. I cannot tell you what honor and privilege this is, especially Kochie. A huge job. A huge job. And an exciting job,” he said.

Both Kochie and Barr said they were delighted with the choice.
Shirvington, who shares teenage daughters Siena and Winter and a five-year-old son named Lincoln with wife Jessica, admitted that life at home will be “a bit of a juggle” going forward.
“I’m lucky enough to have a little five-year-old Lincoln who goes to bed at about 7:30 every night. So I go to bed with him and I get up a little earlier than him,” he said with a chuckle.
“But no, it’s been great.” Jess and the kids have been so supportive of me. I am really shocked by my family’s support to start an athletic career. And they sacrificed themselves and gave me the chance to do this. They support me again,” he added.
Shirvington will host his first edition of Sunrise next Monday, June 12 with Natalie.
