Sunrise hosts cry with laughter as couple wed live during embarrassing Krispy Kreme drive-thru wedding and groom tells bride he loves her more than his three football teams

Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and David Koch were on edge Tuesday when a couple tied the knot during a wedding at a Krispy Kreme drive-through on Valentine’s Day.

Lovebirds Wesley and Veronica sat in the back of a white Cadillac convertible that led them through the drive-thru at the Liverpool, Sydney store to a food drive window where an authorized celebrant helped them exchange vows.

Channel Seven reporter Katie Brown was on site and explained how the couple had their first date at the exact location eight years ago.

Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and David Koch had goosebumps Tuesday when a young couple tied the knot during a Krispy Kreme drive-through wedding on Valentine’s Day.

“They met here in this store in Liverpool eight years ago,” Katie said.

‘They have four beautiful daughters who were part of their proposal. And of course Veronica said yes, so here she is today.

Back in the studio, Natalie Barr, David Koch, Mark Beretta and Edwina Barthlowmew howled with laughter as Wesley told his blushing girlfriend that he loved her more than his three favorite football teams during their vows.

“I love you more than Aston Villa, Manly and Phoenix Suns put together,” Wesley said as the hosts roared with laughter.

You are my best friend, my accomplice and my soul mate.

‘Wes, from the first day we met, I knew you were the one. I am so grateful not only for the love you show me, but also for how you love our girls,” said Verónica.

“You’re always there for them for advice, support, and especially bad dad jokes.”

The couple then exchanged rings in the back of the vintage vehicle before sealing their love with a kiss.

Wesley and Veronica got out of the car and joined their family and their four daughters as they prepared to cut the ‘cake’: a tower of various flavors of Krispy Kreme donuts.

The newlyweds’ daughters later explained to Katie Brown how they got involved in their parents’ proposal.

‘So we were hiding behind the sofa waiting. We had a lot of false alarms. And finally we saw her come in and we stood up and… yeah,” one of her daughters recalled.

They also explained how Veronica had already said yes before Wesley had change to open the engagement ring box.

The unique wedding is featured as part of Sunrise’s Valentine’s Day special on Tuesday.

“Their vows were very personal and meant a lot to them,” host Natalie told Kochie in the studio.
