The View co-host, 54, spoke with People about her body’s struggles, calling the decision to undergo surgery a “health decision” and “self-care.” The two-time author told the publication that she now feels like “a better version of myself.”

Sunny came to the decision after years of body image battles and dealing with uncomfortable back pain.

The New York-raised star also noted that she wants to start a conversation about plastic surgery in an effort to destigmatize it.
