Channel 4’s Sunday brunch descended into chaos within minutes of starting when actor Anthony Boyle turned the sky blue with his foul language.
The Irish actor, 29, was chatting to presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer when he admitted he was jetlagged having just returned from a premiere in Los Angeles.
He explained: ‘I was there promoting this movie. We had a premiere for this film that we called Masters of the Air. So yeah, it was a lot of fun.”
To which Tim asked: ‘It’s not a movie, is it? It’s a series.’
A nervous Anthony replied: “It’s a TV show, but it’s my first time on live TV and I mess up my first damn sentence!” causing an audible gasp from his fellow guests.

Looking at Hasan Semay, James Arthur, Julia Sawalha, Nick Helm, Jon Pointing and Katherine Waterston, Anthony hastily added, “Apologies for the curse!” of Tim later said: ‘Apologies for the bad language.’
The group later laughed off the incident as they handed out the Sunday Brunch radiator keys.
He offered one to Anthony Tim and then joked: ‘Oh, I’m not sure about you, mate.
“No, you can have one, even if you’re a bit sweary Mary, you can have one.”
Masters Of The Air is based on Donald L. Miller’s book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought The Air War Against Nazi Germany, originally published in 2007.
Set in World War II, the nine-episode limited series focuses on a team of Air Force members as they bravely battle the forces of Nazi Germany.
Elvis star Austin Butler takes on the role of fighter pilot Major Gale Cleven, while fellow Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin) plays sidekick Lt. Curtis Biddick stars.
Anthony plays Lieutenant Harry Crosby in the series.
Anthony was jetlagged because he had been in Los Angeles for the premiere of Masters Of The Air (LR Rafferty Law, Anthony, Sawyer Spielberg, Callum Turner, Barry Keoghan, Austin Butler)
Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks produced the project, which is considered by many to be the long-awaited follow-up to their HBO hits Band Of Brothers and The Pacific.
According to the official synopsis, Masters of Air “follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the ‘Bloody Hundredth’) as they conduct dangerous bombing raids on Nazi Germany and struggle with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and the sheer terror of the fighting that are fed. at 25,000 feet in the air.
‘Depicting the psychological and emotional price these young men paid as they helped destroy the horrors of Hitler’s Third Reich is at the heart of Masters of Air.
“Some were shot and captured; some were injured or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, a toll was taken on all of them.”
The screenplay was provided by John Orloff, with several famous directors directing individual episodes, including Cary Joji Fukunaga and Tim Van Patten.
The cast is completed by Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook and Ncuti Gatwa.
Masters of the Air will unveil its first two episodes on January 26, 2024 on Apple TV+. New episodes will be released every Friday until the season finale on March 15.
