More than 120,000 car fanatics are expected to take to the Canberra Exhibition Park on Sunday for the 36th annual Summernats festival.
The car mecca is expected to have around 2,500 cars, from tricked-out Holdens to purpose-built speedsters and track-only dragsters.
Rev-heads have traveled from all over the country for Summernats, which saw burnout and slip events take place, as well as the infamous mullet competition.
Andy Lopez, co-owner of Summernats, said earlier this year that the event will be “undoubtedly the biggest Summernats ever.”
βIt's a car lovefest…Canberra can be a bit grey, a bit beige. What we bring is chrome, color and sound,β Mr Lopez told Sky News.

Mr Lopez said organizers worked closely with ACT Police from the planning stages through to the execution of the event.
βAs a true street machine community, we also share their vision of zero tolerance for bad behavior on public roads,β he said.
'Events like Summernats are built to allow you to show off in a safe environment, whether you have a registered or unregistered cart.

'If you want to do burnouts, do it on our burnout path. If you want to skid, do it on our skid row. Don't do it on the public street.'
Early on Saturday there were reports of crowds breaking out into song and saying “Let them go” after police reportedly escorted a car from the festival.
ACT Police previously warned motorists about any honking behavior ahead of the annual city center cruise.
The four-day festival has caused controversy in recent years, including after the death of Luke Newsome in 2019.
