Shane Warne’s daughter has revealed the struggles of growing up in the public eye after appearing on The Masked Singer Australia.
Summer Warne, 21, who was unmasked as the ‘Bad Avocado’ on Monday, opened up about what it was like living with the fame of her late father, who died last year aged 52.
Speak with Yahoo Australiathe young woman said she never wanted to be a celebrity like her cricket star father.
“I never asked to be in this life. And I think it was just really hard growing up in an environment where your whole life is kind of on the screen,” she explained.
“And if Dad made a mistake, it would reflect on me. And you know, I thought people looked at me differently,” Summer continued.

“But at the end of the day, Dad was who he was, and I loved him. And you know, in my eyes he could do no wrong, he’s my father and I love him dearly.’
Summer was unmasked on Monday night’s episode of the popular reality singing show after taking to the stage singing Coldplay hit Yellow.
After taking off her mask, 21-year-old judges Melanie Brown, Abbie Chatfield, Dave Hughes and Chrissie Swan were completely stunned, with none of them able to guess her identity.
Summer seemed impressed after coming face to face with Mel B.
“I think it was just really hard growing up in an environment where your whole life is kind of on the screen,” she explained. (Summer is depicted as a child with her deceased father)
“I love you all so much,” she told the judges. “But Mel B, I just like it, I really adore you. When I was fifteen, I dressed up as the Spice Girls. It’s like, “I just want to be Mel B.”
Summer went on to say that she has always loved singing and wanted to make her father proud.
‘Yellow was actually his funeral song. It was the opening of his funeral and Chris Martin sang it at the state memorial,” she added.
