As despair begins to set in for the New York Jets, fans are holding on to positive news regarding the health of injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets' hopes of making the playoffs are slim — almost to the point of non-existence. But with Rodgers making a miraculous recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon, there is still a small glimmer of hope that he can return soon.

That was echoed today, when the video of Rodgers walking past the Jets' social media team was captioned: “@AaronRodgers12 moved so fast he almost snuck past us.”

It prompted some fans to tell the team they are “matching him today” as the team will challenge third-string quarterback Tim Boyle for the second week in a row.

Other fans suggested he needs more time to rest and recover – and that's exactly what the plan is for New York.

Rodgers still needs time to get back on his feet (literally and figuratively) after his gruesome injury in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills.

Since then, he has tried to recover from an Achilles injury faster than anyone at his age ever has.

So far, he's on pace to do just that, with a return this season on the horizon, especially if the Jets are still in the playoffs.

He returned to practice earlier this week when New York opened its 21-day practice window to return to the team.

The Jets hope to keep those playoff hopes alive with Sunday's game against the Falcons.
