The leak, part of which appears to come from an alpha test of the game, not only irritates the developer and publisher, but also fans of Rocksteady's Batman games. Some story spoilers, while unconfirmed, could have major implications for Rocksteady's 'Arkham-verse'.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League details have been leaked in recent weeks, as data miners sifted through game files available through a “closed alpha tech test” which ran from November 30 to December 3. That technical test consisted of a “smaller, specific portion” of the game campaign and players were bound by a restrictive non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Anyway, unannounced details of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League have become public, much to the developer's dismay. On Monday, Rocksteady called the leaks “very disappointing” and warned players that potential spoilers were out in the wild.
“We look forward to players experiencing the story we've been working on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League once the game comes out in the new year,” Rocksteady said in a statement on its official X account. “We hope everyone can play the game and feel every moment of the story for themselves. It's very disappointing to see details being shared before the game's release, so we can only recommend that you avoid spoilers where you can. And try not to affect other players' enjoyment by posting spoilers. We look forward to seeing you all in Metropolis on February 24, 2020.”

Plot details, including certain characters from the DC Universe making surprise appearances and certain characters dying, have been leaked via audio and game clips (which Warner Bros. has done its best to remove from the internet using copyright claims). That includes the possible return of Batman villain Poison Ivy, who died in Batman: Arkham Knightbut returns Kill the Justice League in a completely different form. Other leaked and unconfirmed story details include revealing the Suicide Squad's methods of killing certain members of the Brainiac-controlled Justice League and using the DC multiverse as a plot device.
One leaked aspect of the game's story involves Batman's murder – which shouldn't be a huge surprise in a game titled Kill the Justice League, featuring a menacing version of the caped crusader, as seen in previous game trailers. However, some Batman fans are shocked and disappointed with Rocksteady's handling of the character, especially since this is the final turn for the late Kevin Conroy.
But as fans of the Batman Arkham series should know by now, shocking plot twists in Rocksteady's games are not always what they seem.
Besides story spoilers, a dataminer on X says he has discovered additional game modes for Kill the Justice Leagueincluding a horde mode called Raising Hell and a 4v4v4v4 PvPvE mode described as “a distant cousin to Lot 2's Gambit.”
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will also have playable characters beyond the core of Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and King Shark, according to leaked details. Players will reportedly be able to play as The Joker, Deathstroke, and other unannounced DC characters.
Warner Bros. and Rocksteady are planning a release Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on February 2, 2024, after a series of delays. The game is intended for PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
