Matthew Macfadyen, who plays fan favorite Tom Wambsgans on HBO’s hit series Succession, has officially been cast in Deadpool 3, set for a 2024 release.

Variety reported the news on Tuesday, also noting that the third Deadpool movie will be the first since 20th Century Fox was acquired by Disney.

Macfadyen should be able to handle the rigors and roughness of the Deadpool universe after four seasons of battling it out with the Roy family on Succession.

The third installment will also bring back Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and director Shawn Levy assured the outlet that Deadpool will retain his adult humor and R-rating.

‘It’s wonderful to laugh every day. It’s so delicious to listen and write and think about these scenes where people just talk bad. And the violence is in your face and it’s hardcore, and it’s very much a Deadpool movie,” Levy said last year.
