Former Scotland captain Stuart Hogg was reportedly involved in a family outbreak on New Year’s Day, prompting police to be called to his brother’s home.
Hogg, who recently announced his relationship with TV presenter and former jockey Leonna Mayor, revealed the couple had spent New Year’s Day at Musselburgh Racecourse.
“Starting the new year with the best,” Hogg wrote on Instagram, adding: “A huge thank you to @musselburghracecourse for looking after my family today. We had a great day.’
Hogg’s brother Graham, his partner and their parents also reportedly attended the races.
According to The sunpolice were later called to Graham’s home in Hawick, Roxburghshire, following an argument.

“At around 9pm on Monday 1 January 2024, police were called to a report of a disturbance at a property in Heronhill Bank, Hawick,” a Police Scotland spokesperson told the Sun.
‘Officers attended and no criminal offense was identified.’
A source told the Sun that the family day out had become ‘really messy’ and led to Hogg deleting his Instagram account.
‘What started as a family day out at the races ended when the police were called. It was all very messy.
‘Stuart then deleted Instagram – just hours after posting a loved-up photo of him and Leonna, dressed to the nines, about to head off to the races.
‘His brother Graham also deleted the Musselburgh photos and made his account private.
“It’s such a shame after he ended the year on a high with his MBE award.”
Mail Sport has contacted Hogg’s representatives for comment.
Hogg was awarded the MBE in the New Year’s Honors list for services to rugby after an outstanding playing career.
The full-back won 100 caps for Scotland before retiring ahead of last year’s World Cup, while he was also selected for three British & Irish Lions tours.

Hogg, Scotland’s all-time leading try scorer, announced his retirement from the sport with immediate effect last July amid fitness issues.
His romance with Mayor came just after his wife, Gillian Smith, gave birth to their fourth child in November.
According to reports, Smith is heartbroken by the speed at which Hogg moved on.
His new lover Leonna won 32 races between 2009 and 2013, but retired after an ankle injury.
She was dubbed the ‘sexiest jockey alive’ when she posed in her underwear for a photo shoot in Zoo magazine in 2013.
Since her competitive racing career ended, Leonna has turned to experts, working for the likes of Sky Sports and ITV.
