FScottish rugby captain Stuart Hogg has been charged by police in connection with an incident in the Scottish Borders.
The 31-year-old was arrested at a property in Hawick on Sunday, February 25 at around 4.40pm.
He was arrested and charged and released on an undertaking to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
Hogg retired from rugby last year ahead of the start of the Rugby World Cup and announced his desire for a new career after his time in the sport.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: ‘Police were called to an address in Hawick at around 4.40pm on Sunday 25 February.

‘A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged. He was released on an undertaking to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
“A report will be submitted to the Attorney General on the budget.”
Hogg appeared to have attended an event alongside several celebrities, where he posed for photos with the likes of actor Martin Compston and chef Greg Wallace, to watch his former side take on England in the Six Nations at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stage.
After the match, which Scotland won 30-21, Hogg shared images on social media with the caption: ‘What a day. What a result. Great performance from the Scottish boys. I really enjoyed being among these legends @mrmartincompston and @greggawallace in the @ignite.experiences Players Lounge.”
Hogg, who now does occasional punditry work, split from his wife Gillian last year before the birth of the couple’s fourth child, and soon went public with his relationship with jockey and Sky Sports presenter Leonna Mayor.
Last year he was awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honors List after making 100 appearances for his country and topping the list of their all-time leading try scorers.

He has four children with Gillian, and according to The sunhad refused to leave the family home after their divorce, with his then pregnant ex-partner moving in with her parents with the couple’s three children.
It is said that Hogg took time away from his rugby career to spend more time with his family.
