Strictly’s Tasha Ghouri breaks her silence after missing out on Glitterball trophy during ‘best ever’ final with emotional post to her younger self: ‘Never give up, anything is possible!’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Tasha Ghouri has broken her silence after missing out on the Glitterball trophy to Chris McCausland during Saturday’s ‘best ever’ final.

The Love Island star, 26, impressed the judges on the final show, with Anton Du Beke declaring she was the most talented contestant to ever appear on the series.

Tasha was also surprised during the final when it turned out that big brother Alex had flown in from Australia to see her perform one last time.

The model, who is deaf and wears cochlear implants, shared a slew of behind-the-scenes photos alongside an emotional message to her younger self, declaring that ‘anything is possible’ after her successful stint on Strictly.

In a lengthy caption, Tasha wrote: ‘@bbcstrictly after 13 weeks thank you.. when I say doing this show has been so magical I can’t even put it into words and surprising me with my brother flying in from Australia! !! ‘

“It was extra special having him there to watch the final, thank you so much @iamtheo for making this possible.”

Tasha was also surprised live on TV when it turned out that big brother Alex had flown in from Australia to see her perform one last time.

‘@aljazskorjanec you have created magically beautiful dances that will long be remembered from our American smooth, waltz, show dance and much more. Every day we laughed and smiled, you are what this show is strictly about – your passion and positivity radiates from within this show’.

‘I can’t thank you enough from the bottom of my heart, you made my experience so magical. And we made history!!! What a moment’.

She continued, “I have to give a huge shoutout to @arduinobertoncello for our show dance, thank you so much for making the show dance EPIC! you really helped me bring out my inner ginger and do this style, i loved it!!!’.

“For my younger Tasha… we did it. We were living a dream that we had been dreaming about for a long time. We never gave up believing and chasing that dream. We danced every week with a smile on our faces, we danced with our hearts and never gave up.

‘We did go on a journey during this show, but that’s what made it so beautiful. I’m proud of us! I hope this is a message to all of you to keep going, never give up and anything is possible.”

Tasha continued: ‘And I have to say @chrismccauslandcomedy you deserve to hold that trophy so high, since day one you’ve shown you’re unstoppable, working with @diannebuswell has just been a joy Dianne what a woman you are, both of you are winners!’

‘@jbgill @laurenmayoakley @hadderstime @vitocoppola I’m so proud of you all, what an incredible finale of people to be a part of’

‘Biggest love to the judges who supported my journey on the show, thank you, the incredible hosts @tessdaly @claudiawinkle, @stefaleksander thank you for everything! @iamtheo @_jasfox_ @mrshoppy21 thanks’.

Friend Andrew was also quick to pay tribute

Before you add it: Thank you to every production, runners, set, makeup, hair, costume, producers for making the magic happen. Now I need to sleep, enjoy Christmas and I’ll be back for @strictlycomedancinglive’.

Tasha is said to be the ‘real winner’ of this year’s series as she is set to make millions from new big TV deals.

In the grand final of Strictly, blind comedian Chris and partner Dianne Buswell won the Glitterball trophy after competing against Tasha, JB Gill and Sarah Hadland.

However, it looks like Tasha is the ‘real winner’ off the dance floor as she is set to rake in huge six-figure sums from lucrative brand deals and appearances on reality TV shows.

According to PR expert Kayley Cornelius, Tasha, who has 1 million Instagram followers, is likely to be ‘inundated with media offers’ after already releasing her own book Hits Different.

Kayley told me The Daily Star: ‘Tasha could be the real winner of Strictly, thanks to her incredible marketability and ability to connect with a wide range of audiences. Her content, which focuses on lifestyle, beauty and fashion, makes her especially attractive to brands in those sectors – some of the largest publishers in online advertising.

It comes after another ‘fix’ row when Chris was crowned winner after Tasha was branded the ‘best dancer’

Despite several fans saying Chris was a ‘worthy’ winner, others said Tasha was ‘technically’ a better dancer and should have one

‘Appearing on Strictly Come Dancing is always a major PR move for any celebrity, but Tasha Ghouri seems poised to benefit from it more than most. Since announcing her participation, her Instagram engagement has skyrocketed, nearly doubling her average interactions compared to before.

“With her large following and high engagement, brands are likely to pay top prices to work with her. Tasha could easily earn a five-figure sum per sponsored post, and long-term partnerships could push her earnings to six figures – or even higher if she becomes the face of a brand.”

Kayley has predicted that Tasha will host her own dating show, aimed at individuals who use sign language, and is likely to appear on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity.

Tasha Ghouri got emotional when her brother Alex surprised her during the final of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night

She had been under the impression that he would miss her starring role in the series because he was in Australia

Speaking about her sibling ahead of the reveal, she said: ‘He’s in Australia at the moment, my brother is so supportive and I really miss him. He can’t be here today.’

Meanwhile, winner Chris is set to go on his stand-up tour next year, but he could also land some big deals with Netflix or Amazon Prime.

It comes after Strictly Come Dancing was hit with another ‘fix’ row as Chris was crowned the winner of this year’s series.

Chris and his professional partner Dianne Buswell were crowned 2024 champions after the comedian made history as the show’s first-ever blind contestant and winner.

The highest-scoring final ever saw all the couples perform three dances each for the judges before presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced Chris as the winner of the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Despite several fans saying Chris was a ‘worthy’ winner, others said Tasha was ‘technically’ a better dancer and should have one.
