Strictly’s Molly Rainford prepares to land a new job at BBC’s EastEnders

Molly Rainford is the latest star rumored to join the BBC’s famous EastEnders.

The 22-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star will take on the role of a daughter in a new family moving to Walford to take over the Queen Vic later this year.

It comes after the departure of Danny Dyer earlier this year, who saw his wife on the show, Linda, sell the pub after her tragic death.

According to The Sun, he will join a long list of Strictly finalists to move on to “bigger things.”

A TV source told the publication: “Molly joins a long list of former finalists who have achieved bigger things than the competitors who ultimately made it.”

New Job: Molly Rainford is the latest star rumored to join the BBC’s famous EastEnders.

“But anyone who saw her on Strictly could see that the world of entertainment was her oyster.”

Molly could play the daughter of Ray Winstone, who has reportedly already been cast in a role on the TV series Albert Square.

It’s already been reported that Ray is reportedly in line to replace Danny Dyer as the tough man on EastEnders and even some close to the BBC soap have speculated that he could become the landlord of the Queen Vic pub.

The character he would potentially play would be the patriarch of a family that would also introduce new characters, including Molly.

Despite this, BBC sources insisted there were no plans for Winstone, 66, to appear.

However, they have previously dampened such rumors about other big-name signings, only to have them officially announced soon after.

Winstone, who starred in the gangster film Sexy Beast, almost joined EastEnders as the brother of long-running character Billy Mitchell in 2008, but turned it down after accepting a role in Indiana Jones And The Crystal Skull.

At the time, soap opera bosses said they were desperate to have him on the show.

The actor later said, “That thing about showing up five times a week, these guys work so hard, it’s just not for me.” I was wondering if I would probably be the only one from the East End in the show.

The London Borough of Bromley-by-Bow, where the fictional Albert Square is supposed to be located, is just two miles from Hackney Hospital, where Winstone was born. He lived in Plaistow, in the East End, until he was seven, when the family moved to North London.

Viewers of the show will know that there will be some sort of change in ownership of the pub following Danny’s departure.

The actor’s final scenes as Mick Carter aired on Christmas Day and saw the owner of the Queen Vic mysteriously lost at sea after diving under the water to save his ex-wife Linda.
