Strictly’s Katya Jones, 34, shares fears over her ‘maternal clock’ amid busy dance schedule – and reveals how she deals with trolls after THAT Seann Walsh kissing scandal

Katya Jones has shared her concerns about her ‘mother clock’ ticking before she turns 35 this month.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional was married to her co-star on the BBC One Latin and ballroom show, Neil Jones, 42, before she was caught smooching her celebrity dance partner, comedian Seann Walsh, 38, in 2018.

And the dancer has admitted it’s difficult to balance her career with meeting someone and starting a family.

Speaking on friend Aimee Fuller’s Monday Mile podcast, she said: ‘Yes. Modern women our age can have careers and pursue our passions.

‘Be happy and fulfilled in your own strength. On the other hand, unfortunately it does not stop our mother clock or our aging process. So how do you balance those two things?’

Katya faced a barrage of abuse online over the infidelity with Seann, who also had a girlfriend at the time, but she insists she has learned how to break away from it.

She said, “I’ve completely learned to break away from it.

‘It doesn’t define who I am. What is important to me is that we are walking now, that you know who I am and that is enough. That’s enough for me.

‘My family knows me and loves me the way I am, that’s enough for me.

‘But would I like to add value to the world? Yes. And I already do it in a certain way.

‘Sometimes people ask me: what do you do for work? And I think I make people happy because that’s what Strictly does.’

As for Seann, he is still haunted by the kissing scandal and recently revealed that he has never danced since and is even bothered by ‘Strictly No Parking’ zones.

The stand-up – who was dating actress Rebecca Humphries at the time – told fellow comedian Russell Howard on the Wonderbox podcast: ‘I don’t dance. What it actually is is when you pull into a parking lot or something and it says, ‘Strictly No Parking.’ I still just say ‘Arghh’ every time I see it.

“I can hear the word – like a dog hears something – I can just hear the word strictly and I still say, ‘Arghh!’

Neil has moved on with Love Island star Chyna Mills, 25, who he welcomed a daughter, Havana, with in October and is engaged to.

In January, Neil admitted that he and his ex-wife Katya had never talked about babies in their future.

The dancer, 41, also revealed in an exclusive interview with MailOnline that he and fiancée Chyna discussed having children just three months into their romance.

He explained that he and Strictly co-star Katya were always too focused on their careers and dancing to consider starting a family.

Neil was married to Katya for six years before calling it quits in August 2019, following her 2018 kiss with her Strictly partner Seann.

He and Love Island star Chyna welcomed their first child, daughter Havana, in October, seven months after announcing their engagement and just over a year after going public with their romance in August 2022.

When asked about family plans with Katya, Neil told MailOnline in an interview about his partnership with Burns Pet Nutrition: ‘No, we’ve never really talked about children.

“We were busy with dancing and our careers and things like that.”

The sparkly-toed star explained that even though he and Chyna only had baby fever for three months, they didn’t expect the pregnancy to happen so quickly.

He explained that when he and Chyna met, they “hit it off so well” and that he now finds it funny how quickly they got into serious conversation.

“I have so many cousins, and when I met Chyna we hit it off so well,” he added. “And it’s so funny that three months later we both got into that conversation about having a kid and we said, ‘Yeah, let’s try.’

‘We never thought it would happen so quickly. We were both over the moon.”
