Elsewhere, fellow guest Frank Skinner praised Johannes on his collaboration with John Whaite in the 2021 series.
He became emotional and replied, “I have to say that I have spent the last seven years in this country and it has been absolutely wonderful.
‘I feel seen and that experience has really given me a certain confidence that I can’t tell you, I’ve never had before. It restored my faith in humanity, that experience.
“To hear people give feedback about how beautiful it was, it really humbles me.”
Johannes, who is currently on tour with his own show House of Jojo, also exclusively announced his next project: “It’s my musical debut,” he confirmed.
‘I’m a late bloomer. I have the opportunity to play Lola in Kinky Boots. Everything I’ve done in my career has led to this moment. I’ve followed it from the beginning.
‘A first for me. It’s been two years since I took singing lessons, because I already knew about the subject for two years.
‘I just wanted to respect the people who came before me and put in the effort before I could say yes. I’m grateful that the producers waited until I was ready.”

Earlier this year, Queen Camilla said she is one of Strictly Come Dancing’s biggest fans as she chatted to Johannes during a visit to a community center in Cambridge.
The Queen also said she is considering taking up tap dancing in her ‘dotage’ after Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes presented her with a pair of steel-shoes.
Camilla promptly asked him for tap lessons after seeing artist and Love Island star Tasha Ghouri, also a professional dancer, coaching Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) staff and volunteers on the dance floor.
‘I would really like to do it because I’ve always wanted to tap dance. So in my dotage it might be something I can work on,” the queen said as she held her tap dancing shoes.
She added: ‘Having seen everyone here dancing happily today, it’s the best exercise and it’s a great way for everyone to just enjoy themselves.’
Radebe, better known as Jojo, led the RVS Find Your Feet dance class for beginners in the cha-cha-cha, after which Ghouri typed out the complicated moves for the group to follow during a tap dancing session.
Earlier this year, Queen Camilla said she is one of Strictly Come Dancing’s biggest fans as she chatted to Johannes during a visit to a community center in Cambridge.
A few meters away, the Queen was clearly enjoying watching the class, laughing as Radebe asked the dancers to spin around, and when the session ended she apologized for not joining in, saying: “Very nice, I’m sorry I don’t participate. cha-cha-ing.”
Camilla’s love of the BBC dancing show is well known, but Radebe made the class laugh when he told her: ‘I’m so beside myself that you’re watching Strictly Come Dancing.’
The Queen, who is taking Silver Swans, classes for older ballet dancers from the Royal Academy of Dance, replied: “I’m one of Strictly’s biggest fans.”
Radebe and Ghouri taught at the Meadows Community Center in Cambridge, which opened last year and where the RVS, which supports the Queen as president, has a café.
